What's Bill Gates Reading? Book Picks from the TED Community

The good folks at TED are curating a selection of titles over at the Better World Books website, a socially-conscious online bookstore. Various members of the TED community, including but not limited to TED speakers, have each chosen a few books featuring “ideas worth spreading.” Among the books recommended are a handful by Lavin speakers. Bill Gates recommends Dr. Jared Diamond’s Collapse, about why some societies fail and others succeed, while Seth Godin highlights Jonah Lehrer’s How We Decide, about why we need both reason and emotion when making decisions, and Remo Guiffre, of TEDxSydney, chose Michael Gates Gill’s How Starbucks Saved My Life, soon to be a major motion picture starring Tom Hanks. See the full list here.
