Lavin Speakers Win Big at The Thinkers50 Distinguished Achievement Awards

For two decades, Thinkers50 has been recognizing the very best in management thinking. This year, at their extraordinary awards gala, the organization honored three Lavin speakers for their industry-defining contributions: Francesca Gino, Chris Clearfield, and András Tilcsik.

When it launched in 2001, Thinkers50 was the first-ever global ranking of management thinkers in the world. Today, not only does it remain the premier ranking of its kind—it also has an awards gala dedicated to its prestigious community of thinkers, allowing them to share the management ideas changing the future.

Lavin speakers Chris Clearfield and András Tilcsik wrote the National Business Book Award-winning Meltdown last year. As practical as it is entertaining, the book dives into how complexity can cause failure in our systems—and how to prevent it. “Meltdown is one of the stand-out business books of the decade,” said Thinkers50 co-founders Stuart Crainer and Des Dearlove, who honored the duo once again with the Thinkers50 Strategy Award.

Harvard Business School professor Francesca Gino is described as a “corporate rebel rouser extraordinaire.” Her book Rebel Talent champions the rebels of the world as masters of innovation and reinvention, and shows us how, when, and why we should break the rules. For her work, she was recognized with the Thinkers50 Talent Award.
