Lavin Speakers Amber Mac and Arlene Dickinson Headline TELUS Pitch Competition

Digital entrepreneur Amber Mac is set to host the TELUS Pitch small business competition, which concludes today. Fellow Lavin Speaker Arlene Dickinson, of Dragons’ Den fame, will be judging.

The event will kick off with a live Q&A session between Amber Mac, who also co-hosts Accenture’s Marketing Disrupted podcast, and veteran communications entrepreneur Arlene Dickinson. Following the session, the five remaining competitors will deliver their best “elevator pitch” to the judging panel, which, in addition to Dickinson, includes Facebook’s managing director Garrick Tiplady.
The grand prize winner will take home $100,000 cash, the largest payout ever from a Canadian small business competition, while the other four will each receive $10,000. Another $10,000 will be donated on behalf of the winner to the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation.
