Cora Tsouflidou
Founder, Owner, and Administrator of the Cora Group of Companies
In 1980, following her divorce, Cora Tsouflidou opened her first neighborhood restaurant in order to support her three teenage children. In no time, the restaurant was a booming success and tripled in value. Cora sold that eatery to work at a larger restaurant and refine her business fundamentals. In 1987, she again struck out on her own, and "Cora" was born. The first location, in Montreal, focused on her innovative take on breakfast, offering healthy, fresh ingredients and first-class customer service over the ubiquitous 'greasy spoon' approach. Customers flocked to the restaurant. Soon, nine more Cora locations opened in the Montreal area.
In 2013, Cora was awarded the Honorary Presidency of the 15th edition of the Québec Entrepreneurship Contest, which she shares with Martin Thibault.
