Students Review Kal Penn's Teaching In New York Magazine—And He's A Hit!

According to students at The University of Pennsylvania, Kal Penn is "awesome and funny as hell!" While he already has proven successful in film, television, and politics, he also recently added a stint in teaching to his roster. According to a review in New York Magazine, he was quite a hit with the students. Penn taught "Contemporary American teen films" at the University of Pennsylvania and thanks to his extensive background in the media industry combined with his knowledge of pop culture and current events, he was a perfect fit for the university. Using material pulled from ratemyprofessor.com, it seems that students really took to his teaching style. And, many of the students who were taught by him recommended that others take his class.

Penn is the Former Associate Director at the White House Office of Public Engagement and is still an active political advocate. He works primarily with young people to help get them involved in the political process, but also contributed to other parts of President Obama's recent campaign. He is also a successful actor, and has appeared in a number of films and television shows. He is charismatic, intelligent, and able to connect with audiences in a multitude of different disciplines—offering a wide array of takeaways tailored to the unique characteristics of everyone he works with.
