Film Version of Margaret Atwood's Payback Debuts at Sundance

The documentary film version of Margaret Atwood's highly-regarded non-fiction book, Payback: Debt and the Shadow Side of Wealth, makes its world premiere at The Sundance Film Festival this month. The just-released trailer shows the project continues in the spirit of exploring “debt” through various human elements, in society, and throughout history. Also titled Payback, the film is directed by Jennifer Baichwal (Manufactured Landscapes) and produced by the National Film Board of Canada. Payback, the movie, comes at a time when the world faces a repeat of the financial struggles that coincided with the release of Atwood's 2008 book. It will certainly renew debates on the “debts” we carry.
