establishment is avoiding the issue, but the determined
Fryer keeps on pressing home with solid research and compelling

Kenneth Miller Wades Into the Debate on Evolution Vs Intelligent
Design
Brown University Professor
Testifies in the Pennsylvania 'Intelligent Design"
Trial
The Lavin Agency is honored
to announce the signing of Kenneth Miller. A professor at
Brown University and a leading evolutionary scientist (and
author of the most widely used high school biology text
in America), he is currently involved as a lead witness
in one of the most watched court cases in recent memory
-- the so-called Intelligent Design trial in Pennsylvania.
A firm proponent of evolution, but also a believer in God,
Dr. Miller is a great choice for schools that are trying
to explore this controversial issue with tact and diplomacy.

Ted Nordhaus and Michael Shellenberger on The Environmental
Lessons of Hurricane Katrina
Authors of "The Death
of Environmentalism" Address Global Warming Preparedness
In a recent article in the
San Francisco Chronicle Ted Nordhaus and Michael Shellenberger
(authors of the controversial article "The Death of
Environmentalism") explored some of the environmental
lessons of the documented increase in the number of big,
dangerous hurricanes. They argue that, whatever the cause,
the phenomenon should be a wake-up call to Americans to
begin preparing now for the impact of Global Warming. You

Peter
Brown's Story of the Discovery of the Flores
Island "Hobbits" a Major Hit on College Campuses
 |
|
Peter Brown
|
Paleoanthropologist Peter Brown has proven
himself to be as gifted a storyteller as he is a scientist.
His just-completed lecture tour of US campuses was a major
success, with large crowds of rapt listeners fascinated
by his explanation of the discovery and identification
of a prehistoric species of dwarf humans that lived, and
may have coexisted with modern humans, some 18,000 years
ago on a remote Indonesian island. One event organizer
said this about his visit:
You truly delivered a rich understanding of human development
that was received meaningfully by all the strata among
the audience. You came. You saw. And you communicated.
You were gifted to be at that moment in Flores when all
of your skills came into fruition--this was one plus,
but furthermore you
have used this moment to lift up others rather than aggrandize
yourself alone. May all of your experiences on your speaking
tour be as successful.
Dr. Brown will be returning to the US in February 2006,
and we currently have a few dates still available for
that tour. To learn more about bringing this great science
lecturer to your campus, please contact your Lavin agent.
