The Lavin Agency Signs Major-General
(ret'd) Craig Whelden
One of the Nation's Top Experts on Homeland Security
General Craig Whelden retired from the U.S. Army on January 1st,
2004, after a distinguished thirty-year career. His last assignment
was as the Deputy Commander, U.S. Army, Pacific at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
On the morning of September 11, 2001, Whelden found himself one of
the senior military officials on-site after terrorists crashed an
American Airlines jet bound for Los Angeles into the side of the Pentagon.
All on board, plus more than 100 civilian and military personnel on
the ground were killed. In the ensuing hours, Whelden helped to direct
the multi-agency response to the Pentagon crash.
September 11, 2001 changed America forever. Not since the cold war
have American citizens felt the legitimate threat of attack within
our own borders. Are we doing all that we can to protect our way of
life? The answers may surprise you. Whelden presents his thoughts
on these and many other topics related to America's safety in his
amazing presentation that everyone should attend.

Isabel Allende Reinvents The Legend
of Zorro
Internationally Acclaimed Author Chosen
to Reinterpret one of the World's Favorite Myths
After 10 bestselling novels and three critically acclaimed
memoirs translated into over 25 languages, Isabel Allende is at
work on an amazing new project that has her fans held in eager anticipation.
Her skill at making her own life a living legend has made Isabel
Allende the obvious choice to turn her hand to reinventing the Myth
of Zorro. After thousands of oral, film, and even comic book renditions
of the legend, only one author could be chosen to create the story
behind the story.
The magical prose so unique to Isabel Allende has been easier this
time - Ms. Allende even jokes that she might have even fallen a
little bit in love with the Masked Man.
Isabel Allende's talent and warmth are truly incredible. For more
information about bringing her in to your next event, contact us
here at The Lavin Agency.
