Author of Bestselling Memoir Born on a Blue Day Available for Select Lecture Dates this Fall

Many scientists believe that Daniel Tammet—one of only 50 high-functioning autistic savants in the world—may hold the key to unlocking the secrets of autism and the brain. The subject of scientific and media attention worldwide (he's been profiled on 60 Minutes and interviewed by David Letterman), he is unique in his ability to articulate his savant experience: he sees numbers, for instance, as shapes with color and motion. In his powerful talks, he shares his incredible journey in overcoming and coping with his condition, affirming that what binds us all may be the very differences we often try so hard to ignore.

Stephen Prothero Debuts on New York Times Bestseller List
Religious Literacy Makes a Big Splash

This month, Stephen Prothero appeared on Oprah, was featured in a TIME magazine cover story ("The Case for Teaching the Bible"), and saw his book, Religious Literacy, hit the New York Times bestseller list. At the center of all this media attention, Prothero is calling for public schools to teach academic courses on the bible and on world religions, in order to highlight the major and often misunderstood role that they play in global affairs. "It's not about trying to turn people into Christians," Prothero says. "It's about trying to get them to understand what's going on in the world and understand what's going on in American politics."
