Ruth grew up in small town Ontario and started her career early, working on a farm (it's hard to believe, but accounting starts to sound pretty good compared to picking strawberries and apples). Later she moved to Toronto to get a degree in math at York University and then obtained her CMA designation. She has worked in many industries over the years from mining to high tech. Ruth is married with 2 children. She and her husband Don enjoy tennis and bridge in their spare time.
