MARK
KELLEY Some of the most interesting and inspiring speeches
are ones that show us that our lives, and our actions, matter. CBC investigative
journalist Mark Kelley is one of the best at showing audiences how individuals
can make a positive and lasting impact on their companies and their communities.
One of the rising stars of Canadian broadcast journalism,
Kelley draws on his wide experience as a correspondent, anchor, and investigative
journalist to explore the idea of "making a difference". He
shows the audience how individuals can create positive change in the face
of seemingly insurmountable obstacles. The audience walks away with inspiring
stories of people who have made a difference in their communities, and
with renewed belief their own ability to tackle the problems and challenges
of work and personal life. Dynamic, funny, and very down to earth, Kelley
weaves in anecdotes from his own career, making for a fascinating keynote
for virtually any type of audience. A former host of CBC's Newsworld
Morning, Mark Kelley was also a correspondent for The National.
During his time on Newsworld Morning, Kelley won a Gemini award
for his coverage of the September 11th terrorist attacks. He won a second
Gemini in the fall of 2003 for best host or interviewer in an information
series for his work on Disclosure, the CBC's prime time investigative
journalism show that ran from 2001 to 2005.
