Who Will Be Canada's Next Great Prime Minister?
Join Rick Mercer on March 18th to Find Out

Rick Mercer has brilliantly satirized
Canada's Prime Ministers for over a decade. Now, he will
join many of them, including Brian Mulroney and Paul Martin,
to help find "The Next Great Prime Minister." As host of
the special, airing on CBC, Mercer calls on young Canadians
to show us how they, as PM, would make Canada a better place
to live. Mercer's previous CBC special, Talking to Americans,
remains the network's highest-rated comedy special, and
this year, his weekly show, The Rick Mercer Report,
is drawing its highest ratings ever. With his mix of topical
humour and political commentary, Mercer remains one of our
most requested speakers.

Stand Up in Kandahar Airs on CBC March 14
Shaun Majumder Joins Other Canadian Comics Entertaining The Troops

Like most comedians, Shaun Majumder has
been heckled a few times in his career. But nothing comes
close to the Taliban rocket attack that interrupted his
CBC special Stand Up in Kandahar. After taking shelter in a bunker, the show continued and was a huge success with
the troops and the comedians alike. Stand Up in Kandahar
airs March 14 at 8pm on CBC television.

Chantal Hebert's French Kiss: Stephen Harper's Blind Date With Quebec Now in Stores
 |
|
French Kiss
|
Chantal Hébert's new book, French
Kiss, is a brilliant examination of our changing political
future, one that involves living with Quebec rather than
just wooing it. Stephen Harper would not have gained power
without the Conservatives' surprising ten seats in Quebec,
writes Hébert. And now the future success of his
government hinges on whether he can sustain a long-term
relationship with the province.
