He started the agency in 1989 after a very successful career as a promoter, bringing such luminaries as Peter Ustinov, Tom Wolfe, Jerzy Kosinski, Noam Chomsky, and the legendary triple bill of Abbie Hoffman, Timothy Leary, and Eldridge Cleaver, to Toronto.
David started the agency with the same vision and energy he brought
to the world of promoting. He wanted to bring ideas out into the open
and stimulate debate. He knew that great speakers, like great educators,
have the ability to transform how people see their world—how they
think and how they act—whether the subject was business, politics,
or mass media.
Away from the office, David spends most of his time in hockey rinks
and at baseball diamonds with his three sons, Dylan, Carter, and Eliot.
David coaches baseball and helps run the local baseball association.
