Two Major Business Awards Honor Trendhunter CEO Jeremy Gutsche

When they need to know about the next big thing, companies like Google, Microsoft, eBay and Pepsi read trend reports from Jeremy Gutsche—whose website, Trendhunter.com, has just passed half a billion views. In the last three years, Gutsche has blazed an incredible entrepreneurial trail, growing Trend Hunter from a part-time passion into a Web superbrand (“the largest most updated collection of new ideas”) that pulls in seven-figures annually. For his tireless efforts, Gutsche has just been named the recipient of two big business honours: The Cisco Innovation Excellence Award and the BDC’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. "Jeremy's energy and enthusiasm for innovation are contagious," says BDC President Jean-René Halde. " He inspires people worldwide to turn creative ideas into business reality."

Buoyed by the two awards and the 500 million views milestone, Gutsche has been featured extensively in the press this week, including this profile that ran in the Post and Herald papers: “At a time when trends expire faster than milk, Jeremy Gutsche has carved a profitable niche plumbing the pop-culture depths for ideas with real staying power.” And this, from Canadian Business: “Staying on top of the ever-evolving world of consumer trends is an almost impossible task for businesses to tackle. But Jeremy Gutsche has plans to make trend-spotting and reporting a simpler, hands-off process." Congrats, Jeremy!
