Small Acts Create Big Change: Leadership Speaker Drew Dudley in Forbes [VIDEO]

According to Forbes Magazine, you don't have to be a billionaire to enact positive social change, something that leadership speaker Drew Dudley, who was featured in the magazine's most recent issue, has been teaching audiences for years. “There is one world, and 6 billion people who have a different understanding of it," he says in his popular TED Talk about everyday leadership. "And if you can change one person’s understanding of it, you shift the whole thing."

Forbes' article uses points from Dudley's talk to illustrate how small acts of courtesy can go a long way in making a difference in someone's life. Dudley, the founder of Nuance Leadership Development Services, explains that leadership can come in many forms. Everyday acts of kindness, which he calls "Lollipop Moments," have enormous potential to make an impact on the people around you. In his current role at Nuance Leadership, and his previous endeavor as the National Chair of Shinerama: Students Fighting Cystic Fibrosis, Dudley teaches people to redefine leadership. Too often, we discount our own ability to be leaders and believe that leadership is something unattainable, or bigger than ourselves. Speaking to students, charities, and corporations alike, he empowers people to take ownership of their leadership roles—no matter how small—because every action has a reaction, and even the smallest acts can go a long way.
